Taltree’s 2nd annual Picnic en Blanc Benefit was an ivory themed picnic to raise funds to benefit Taltree and its future endeavors. The evening was filled with contests, silent auctions, dancing, delicious food and a crisp clean white photobooth to capture the fun.
The evening started with attendees decorating their tables in elegant white themes, and various chic touches. Later in the evening the best “dressed” table won a prize. Guests enjoyed the beer and wine selection for sale near the dance floor as people seated themselves to get ready for the “waving of the napkins” and speech to signal the start of the evening.
In the back of the tent, confections on tables, hung sculptures, and a photobooth sat ready to entertain guests. The photobooth took 4 color photos of guests on an all white photostrip. Black and white props lined a near by table in the form of hats, mustaches, and glasses. Guests took a strip home to enjoy and remember the night.
Guests dinned on their bring-from-home items, or indulged in the Old World Market trays they had pre-ordered. Silent auction items up for bid included diamond and emerald necklaces, a distillery tour in Michigan, Tea for 9 with the owner of Taltree, a private chef for 4 and many others.
A live band played pop and rock hits of the day, while the Arthur Murray dancers filled the floor. The photobooth was in full-swing too, as guests donned silly hats and giggled looking at their photostrips before heading over to try out some local vendors pastries and dessert concoctions.
