Julia and Steve’s love could not be stopped by any kind of “hail” that day at Wicker Park in Highland Indiana. Starting with a quick outdoor ceremony, inside the party at the hall was filled with fun, food, dancing and a photobooth while outside the weather raged.
Julia and Steve tied the knot quickly outside, with an elegant but short ceremony in the gazebo outside the hall. Before the sky turned dark purple and started throwing quarter sized balls of ice! Inclement weather could not stop the party, as guests went inside to enjoy cocktails before the bride and groom entered in grand fashion. The hall was decked out in teal, purple and peacock accents everywhere. Blue and purple napkins accented the tables. The centerpieces had flowers and plumes of peacock feathers abounded.
A photobooth sat in the corner of the hall, ready and waiting for guests to use after dinner. A peacock themed strip design featured three color photos that guests could wear goofy props in. Props included giant cowboy hats, glasses, feather boas and the ever popular hand held signs. One strip went home with guests and one went home with the bride and groom.
Dinner was a family style meal of salad, roast beef, mashed potatoes, veggies, and various delicious sides. Guests listened to the best man and maid of honor pay hommage to Julia and Steve’s adoration of one another, while sipping and eating. The first dance took place, as the DJ spotlighted the couples tender moment.
Out on the dance floor guests participated in dance offs, slides and even “The Peculator”. The photobooth was slammed all night long until its close as Julie, Steve, family and friends took turns laughing histerically and making photo memories.
