Guests walked into Galaxy hall and were greeted by the birthday girls, both decked out in beautiful jeweled dresses.  Ashley turned 16 and wore a pink dress with a jeweled top, and Rachel turned 15, be-dazzled in silver jewels and a teal short dress. The hall was lined with balloons and foam mustaches that were glitter encrusted. Masks laid on tables next to lollipops and candles marking the occasion.

Red velvet, chocolate, and vanilla cupcakes were clustered next to jeweled trees. The DJ sat at the front of the hall, by the head table, where a balloon arch stood in pinks and browns.

Dinner was a buffet of home style cooked foods, like fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, salad, and shredded beef. The DJ helped to make the night fun filled with minute to win it games of “Face the Cookie,” “Noodling Around,” and “Defying Gravity”, among other fun. The young crowd enjoyed the kid friendly hits of the day on the dance floor, while hula-hoops and a light show brought all ages out to dance.Galaxy Hall Sweet 16

A limbo line broke out at least once in the night, as guests saw “how low they could go”. Later in the night Ashley sang Cher Lloyd’s “The Oath” to Rachel, touching everyone’s heart who attended. Friends of the birthday girls put on a show for the crowd with a choreographed dance to mark the special occasion.

The photo booth was a hit all night long, where guests  jumped in dressed up in props like mustache necklaces, pink glasses, shiny hats, and lips on a stick. A custom designed strip with Ashley’s name and a cheetah print motif  featured three color photos, which was given to guests to take home. A duplicate was made to put in the memory book with messages of well wishes and love. Ashley and Rachel bopped in and out of the booth with friends and family in between dancing and eating.
