Marinett and Scott joined friends and family to celebrate their love at The Allure in LaPorte, Indiana with dancing, food, and a fun photo booth for all to enjoy.
The hall was decorated in blue uplighting, and mirrored squares reflected the gleaming three floating candle centerpieces at the tables. Diamond studded table numbers sparkled. Blue, white and silver were splashed on the tables in the form of cloths and napkins. As guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the downstairs lounge, a photo booth opened upstairs in the elegant side room.
Hilarious props like mustaches on a stick were available to use in photos. Pixel glasses, peace sign glasses, hand held signs, various hats like sombreros and the all important Purdue pennant were used by guests to make memories in the booth. Guests could take four photos on a custom designed strip of grey and blue featuring the bride and grooms name and date. One strip went into a memory book, the other in magnetic photo strip holders which were a wedding favor along with Hershey’s Kisses.
As guests were seated upstairs after cocktails, The grand entrance happened. In they came, pair by pair of the wedding party, all donning custom sunglasses. The bride and groom entered down the staircase as clapping and cheers broke out. The cake was cut immediately, featuring a cute cake topper with a bride taking away a video game control from the groom and the words “game over”.
The couple’s first dance was by A Day To Remember, “If It Means a Lot to You”, and just before that, they played the shoe game. Turns out Marinette is a better dancer and cook than Scott! Later in the evening everyone giggled when the DJ played “Scotty doesn’t know”, poking fun at the groom. The night finished with more dancing and photos from the booth being shared along with stories of the night.
