Chris and Christie’s reception at Briar Ridge Country Club was chalk full of delicious food, drinks, dance off’s and one splendid memory capturing photobooth.
Briar Ridge Country Club was the place to “cut a rug” at Chris and Christie’s reception. The country club was decked out in succulent centerpieces everywhere, with gold and ivory colors throughout. The bride wore her mother’s dress from 40 years earlier, and pulled it off with grace and style. The whole evening was a blast, as guests chilled out in the lounge listening to a guest play the piano and sing standards by the likes of Billy Joel and Queen. Dinner was a elegant plated affair of chicken, mashed potatoes, and veggies.
The photobooth sat off to the corner of the dance floor where it took three photos in color. The strip was a 4×6 design featuring the newlywed’s names and date with a tree branch design. Props included funny signs, crazy hats like hotdogs and pirate, and various types of silly glasses.
Guests left one strip in a memory book and took one home to remember the evening by. Simple heart felt and funny toasts were given by friends and family, and Chris and Christie thanked everyone for their attendance. Dessert was served in the form of cake balls and ice cream.
The first dance was a simple and sweet sway to Wilco’s “Far Far Away”, followed soon after by the traditional mother-son and father-daughter dances. After the traditional dances the floor was open to the whole party, and boy, oh boy, did they dance!
Although the number of people who stayed into the night was small, the floor was packed. Christie did a dance rendition with her bridesmaids of “Proud Mary” by Ike and Tina Turner. The groomsman lead dance offs and even grandma got in on the action.
