Debbie and Mikey’s wedding was a perfect day of ceremony, humor, tender words, elegant entertainment, and of course a photobooth at the Serbian Social Center in Lansing, Illinois.
The Serbian Social Center was host to a 300 person wedding with elegant entertainment scattered through out. Debbie and Mikey’s massive family made it clear they were loved beyond a shadow of a doubt, as many, many toasts were made my family and friends.
Heartfelt words were spoken by fathers and sisters, cousins and the groom. The couple walked in behind a long wedding party procession bearing the Serbian flag.
The wedding party stood one by one awaiting the bride and groom, and twirled napkins to welcome them to the head table. Guests sat at elegantly appointed tables with roses and tall centerpieces circled by covered chairs with black bows. Mikey gave a toast to his new wife, saying, “Debbie was the reason he wakes up, the reason for the sun to shine, and the reason for his big cheesy smile.”
Delicious finger food was catered by Ciao Bella, including toasted ravioli, meatballs, and filet in a flaky pastry with balsamic drizzle. Dinner was a family style feast of salad, friend chicken, sausage in peppers, succulent beef pot roast, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The cake was a multi-level black and white creation with a diamond monogram top.
Live rat pack singing during cocktail hour and dinner was provided Jim Bulanda. A disc jockey brought the party to a new level with uplighting and a fierce selection of live mixing, switching off with a live Serbian band playing cultural favorites all night.
A massive photobooth made an appearance. Able to fit 16 people in its luxurious grey and black velvet curtains, the booth welcomed guests all night for fun and memory making. Attendees could take three color photos with fun props like Elvis glasses,YMCA hats and Mardi Gras masks, all on a custom white damask photo strip marking the special day with Debbie and Mikey’s name and wedding date. Debbie and Mikey made several trips in to the booth with friends and family while munching on White Castle’s. Guests left with a 4×6 strip and put one in a photo book with well wishes, advice and happy tidings.
