Oh, the places you’ll go Joe! Joe’s graduation party was a fun-filled house party in Dyer, Indiana with Dr Seuss themed decorations, a Mexican food buffet, Frisbee and a photobooth.
Joe graduated from Lake Central this summer, with plans to go onto college and engross himself in the study of advertising and design. The theme of Joe’s party was Dr Suess’s “Oh The Places You’ll Go”, lending an air of optimism to his future and the future of the summer. The house was welcoming with the garage door open, letting guests come in and view a photo collage of Joe and friends, as well as getting a glimpse of the photobooth and all the fun props awaiting use.
The photobooth started a few hours after the party began, so guests went inside and helped themselves to a delicious spread of Mexican food and snacks like guacamole and chips. Games of frisbee broke out among the newly graduated high school kids.
A table was set up inside the living room where party goers could drop in “words of wisdom” in a jar for Joe to read and enjoy after the party. After eating, guests crowded back into the garage to jump into the photobooth. The photostrip was a 4×6 Dr Suess inspired “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” design with Joe’s name, party date and three color photos. Guests took one home and put one in a memory book, leaving touching and funny messages for Joe. Hilarious props were donned including pimp hats, glasses, mustaches on a stick and hand held signs. Before the booth closed for the evening all the kids crammed in back of the booth, with no curtains to take one massive 17 person photo, ending the evening on a hilarious note.
