Mike and Kaileen’s chic shindig at Lake Catherine Botanic Gardens was a relaxed and cool non-stop party with a fun food buffet, tons of dancing, and a terrific photo booth.
Guests piled into the venue looking for a taste of the yummy fruit plates and to get refreshments while the bride and groom went off to take some romantic photos with their photographer. Upstairs the dance floor was light with green uplights and pastel decorations hung from the walls, matching the coral and mint theme of the day. A burger bar was ready for guests to enjoy some steaming deliciousness along with all the toppings, chips and other finger foods. Guests enjoyed cocktails while waiting for the grand entrance.
Down stairs in the lobby, a photo booth was ready and waiting to start later in the night, and as the wedding party gathered for the grand entrance, they grabbed various props from the prop table making an impromptu “costumed” entrance. Viking hats, feather boas, Hulk fists, funny glasses and shiny wigs were adorning the party as they were introduced couple by couple into the second level. Mike and Kaileen entered with hands entwined, as the crowd went wild, hooting and clapping for the newlyweds, costumed wedding party smiling proudly.
After the entrance the photo booth was opened and guests flew down the stairs in excitement to start taking photos and putting strips in the memory book (which Kaileen made by hand, with photos of loved pets and the moment of their engagement). The strip was a mint creation with three photos in color and a heart with the names in coral. Guests kept the booth busy all night long, with adults and little ones alike bopping in and out, keeping one strip for a souvenir.
Shortly after the booth opened the first dance happened, as Mike and Kaileen shared a dance floor kiss to their first song, followed by parent-child dances. A funny toast was given by the best man, and after “The Peculator” tempted party goers back onto the floor.
Downstairs, next to the photo booth, BB’s Baby Donuts was there to please party goers with scrumptious baby donuts and coffee, fueling them for the giant dance offs that started immediately after the first dances! Wings and veggie trays made their way upstairs to satisfy guests in-between hopping in and out of the photo booth.
