Valerie and John’s steam punk inspired gala was a spectacle to see at University Club, Chicago with a huge live band, candy tables, elegant lighting, chic steam punk items throughout, and a photo booth to capture all the memories. 
With multiple floors of entertainment, eating, photos, dancing, and cocktails, Valerie and John’s wedding reception was a sophisticated fun bash people will be talking about for years to come. Being steam punk themed, elegant old west pieces of decor were sprinkled throughout the venue, adding a rustic chic-geek feel. 
A huge buffet style dinner was provided for guests on the 8th floor of the building, where they enjoyed food and conversation before coming down the elevators to the 2nd floor where more cocktails and finger foods were provided in the Monroe room where a photo booth was waiting to capture hilarious memories. 
The photo booth’s strips were a steam punk design inspired by Valerie and John’s custom invitations. It featured their name in an old fashioned font with the cream and wine color theme matching their wedding. Props included funny signs, sequined hats, giant glasses and glasses with mustaches, mustaches on a stick, and the ever popular hotdog hat. 
Guests could take three photos in color, receive a strip for themselves and leave a strip along with an endearing message for Valerie and John in their memory book.
Adjacent to the photo booth was a candy table, with candy cigarettes, wafer diskettes, pixie sticks, and real cigars for guests to enjoy, along with candy dots, and candy favorites of childhood years.
Guests could walk from the Monroe room to the connecting dance hall, decked out in ambient lighting casting a sexy and chic feel to the dancefloor where the large band entertained guests into the wee hours of the night. Valerie, John and the wedding party were the last of the night to call it quits, dancing to ska and punk music till 1am, and popping into the photo booth with friends and family.
